Daruma Doll
This project's objective is to explore the "new" and"old" condition of man made objects. I have chosen to burn my objects as it tells the story behind the chosen objects.

Comparison between "New" and "Old" condition: Daruma Doll
At New Year, Daruma talismans are purchased at the temple as token for good fortune in the coming year. A wish is to be made upon the talisman and an eyeball will be filled in. The other eyeball will be filled in once the wish has come true.
By the end of the year, whether the wish has come true or not, the talismans will be burnt, much like crossing off an item on a to-do list.
